Ok so if you look at our record without VY we are currently 12-2. with KFC?? So my question is, is it the team? I mean if Vy wasnt the Qb last year would we have done better, when all this with Vy went down all the VY lover's said all he does is win, and he did, but we have a better record without him? So now that we are sitting pretty at 12-2 do you think he might have been holding us back or is it just the progression and luck of the draw for this years squad?

The answers you seek lie in pretty much every post on this board since September.

it's more a team effort than anything, but he did truly make us better his rookie year when he was using his legs.

last year i believe he was unable to run because of the quad injury and that hurt his playmaking ability but we were a better team than in 2006.

this year he hasn't been on the field and the other 21 guys on the field are playing better than they did last year.

    so, who knows?

A lot of changes since last year make this a different situation. Smash and Dash. Dominant D. Dominant OL. Very good returner. Red zone success.

The QB has a part in several areas, but there are other areas that due to new or developing personnel, the Titans are superior to last year. Making us a better team built on teamwork and not built around any one player.

Where are the stats that can show us this all flows from our QB? We know it's certainly NOT our WRs. But, in truth that's hard to separate from the QB.

At times one element of our game stinks, but other parts have risen up and we were victorious. Sunday was a systemic breakdown from the coaches on down. Hopefully it won't continue.

I can speak for me and the friends i watch football with on Sunday's, so I don't know if it's just us...but I have noticed that this year when Kerry steps back into the pocket, my stomach doesn't do a complete cartwheel. I can not say the same about last year.

Also, when you have an offense that can move the chains, even if they do not score points, gives the defense a little more to play for. The most noticable difference is that our red zone % is incredibly better this year.

It would be nice to combine rookie year Vince with this year's defense. However, and i hope I'm wrong based on Bud's recent remarks, I do not think Vince will ever be a successful QB in the NFL without the use of his legs.

i still think that was chow. collins was our qb when we kicked 8 FGs in one game.

Have you watched the last couple games? He's been missing receivers left and right and turning the ball over. He hasn't had a qb rating over 82 in the last 4 weeks. He's not exactly lighting it up, and anyone who's not a collins homer can see that he's beginning to get far less accurate. Team's are going to continue to stack the box and try to make collins beat them and hopefully he can get it together in time for the playoffs.

utd, that may be true but you know just as well as I do that KFC could come out next time and be spot on gold. Yeah, there is a flash on inconsistency there, anyone would concede that but with Vince Young, this year, there isn't a semblance of consistency at all. If Vince was doing everything right he would get out there. Vince is kinda of an unknown right now so what I've said may not be 100% fair but if anything we know that KFC could come out and have a terrific game. There is far less risk associated with playing Collins.

When comparing our record with kerry and what it could have been with vince start with game one which we likely would have lost with vince.

Last year and this year vince has thrown an int every 21 passes. Is that what some of you want? Collins in the last 2 seasons has thrown 66 passes for each int.

Last year vince was sacked 25 times. This year kerry has been sacked 7 times.

Vince lost 3 fumbles last year kerry has lost one this year.

Had vince played well in the preseason i might be more confident. He did not show any growth or improvement then and then had a terrible game against the jags.

Not fair to judge a player based on one game I know but remember what happened in that one game in which vince played significantly.

    45 passing rating

    2 ints

    1 lost fumble

    1 sack

That's 4 negative plays in one game.
