Has there been a thread that I missed? Anyway there's a few things I'm wondering. 1) Seems like there are many ways to make money....what's you fav and why?

    2) What are the best ways to gain xp? Or is it as simple as just playing through the game destroying all in your path? muhaha.

    3) Does the dog have a health meter I'm not seeing? Or does he just limp when he needs food to heal (treats?).

I just bought this game but probably won't play it until I finish Mass Effect and Gears.

This was partially the reason I got a 360 (Mass Effect being another). I liked the first one despite its short comings.

Hmmm...I rented it for a week and got pretty far...I think. I loved the Woodcutting and smithing....I made a lot of money doing that.

I made a ton of money working with the blacksmith and then investing the money into leasing out houses.

One trick is (with the unpatched game) to make about 30,000 gold and then rent out multiple houses. You earn money every 5 min. even when you aren't playing. Then set the internal xbox clock ahead a number days, months, years and when you come back you will have mucho, mucho dinero which can then be invested in more houses.

    Doesn't cheating bore you?

I couldn't stand being able to do everything easily (first time through) via glitches/cheating.

It became really boring, REALLY fast. I would definitely advise only doing this if you want to just "screw around". Then play the game seriously later, the way it's meant to be played.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I'll probably do the regular buy house/rent house thing anyway, not cheating :moon2:

I earned all of my money. I got most of it serving beer. That was the easiest job to make money at for me. I could chain up in beer serving a lot faster. I hated woodcutting for sure. I didn't realize how much you could make renting until much later in the game. It does help. I bought the haunted mansion for like 200k and the mansion in the cemetary for like 100k. But I still need more money to buy some of the good mansions. Some gems will help you in the money department.

I hope they make more dogs in the next game. I would like to choose my dog.

I didn't even know there were gargoyles until late in the game. I kept trying to find the bandits who were yelling at me, only to realize later they were actually gargoyles. whoopsy.

I thought the game itself came up short. But some good ideas were being tossed around. I'm suprised that they did not develop cool characters and cool stories given that they are all about the tale. It seems they focused more on your characters development and that is good, but if your plot revolves around finding other heroes they need to make that a bit more enjoyable if you ask me.

    Good game though.

I've earned most of my doh so far as a blacksmith, haven't tried much else. I rented out a house, but it doesn't seem to make much $. I think I'll buy/rent some more.

I'd also definitely like to choose my own doggie.

I'm trying to find all gargoyles now, and silver keys. I'm having a hard time finding out where some of this stuff is hidden.

I like the game, but also feel it could do a little better. I'm not finished though, so maybe I'll like the ending better (just finished the Crucible).
