Star Wars: The Clone Wars Trailers & Video Clips

I took my little guy to see this yesterday. I really liked it. Now I've got to get him a Clone Trooper voice changer helmet and blaster with Jango Fett style outfit for Halloween. Damn you George Lucas!

Really? I thought it was horrendous. I took all 3 of my kids to see it and they loved every minute, but I couldn't have been more bored.

I took them to see Journey to the centre of the Earth the week before and thought that was much better.

    I'll probably see it.

    I have no idea why.

Maybe it will just be so my g/f can give me some hell about being a Star Wars nerd.

She found a toy lightsaber that a friend had given me, and I took some abuse for that.

Admittedly, it's a strange thing to have made the move from NC to Hawaii.

    But it's okay.

I give her hell for being in love with a dork :))

    Wouldn't that be Boba Fett?

  5. This is probably the first video incarnation of Star Wars that I've refused to watch. And for me, that's saying something... :geek:

I don't know. Maybe some wiki pwn-ag3 would be in order.:bighomer:
I think the Clones that fought for the empire were modeled after Jango Fett. I believe Boba was his real, independently thinking son who happened to be a genetic double but free thinking none the less. This would be the "Bounty Hunter" for the Hut Clan in Episode 4.

I'll take a look at wiki...

well, wiki was abridged so I checked wookie...:wink2:

and uh, no.. the Clones were modeled after Jango Fett. His son Boba was created as part of the deal.

    you've been wookie-pwn3d!

Eh I might see it when it hits DVD. Is this based off a book? Have there been many other CG Star Wars movies?

Didn't you just view a Star Wars film for the first time a relatively short time ago? And weren't you just barely watching? I recall a post that basically said you had never seen them.

wow. the power of good recall and the search button! :)

If you didn't grow up watching I can see how it would be boring or stupid or whatever but my kid and I connect on a level that's hard to describe when it comes to that stuff. His interest has rekindled mine and brought back the wonder and imagination of childhood for me. It's kinda special.

I really liked the movie if for nothing more that we saw it together.

Though I thought you were talking about the actual character not who the clones were based on, and Jango was dead at this stage of the timeline.

yeah... I can see that... I was just comparing the style of the armor/outfit of the clones... like this..

similar (sorta)... but I see what you mean. I wasn't exactly crystal clear.

and come to think of it they really don't look all that much alike.
