Your right TT. In the NBA, he is an elite scorer, but overall he is a tier(or 2) down from Kobe and James. I think he's the best Fiba player in the world though. A big PF is way too slow to play him, and he'll light em up with the turn around or 3's. A small PF isn't strong enough to keep him from having his way.

Caron Butler might be ok, Chandler already is a alternate, Stoudemire is hurt(thats why he isn't starting, let alone on the team), and McGrady wouldn't know how to give up the pass if his life depended on it. He's way too used to being the only guy.

If you've been following recent Team USA (2004-present), you can see how important he is to the team.

They blew Greece out, they didn't need him today, especially when Wade plays like that. Simple as that.

I think we have a perfect team. Even though I'd like Mike Miller over Redd.

In a word. No. We don't have a perfect team. Also, if Mike Miller happened to be in the same state as the Olympic team it would be a travesty. I'm fine with Redd being our 3 point specialist.

We already formed the perfect team. It's called the original Dream Team. When you never have to call a timeout, that's perfection.

If Kobe can learn to play as a team than McGrady easily could.

I still don't see a need for Kidd. I think the whole "leadership" thing he brings to the table is a bit overrated. Were winning these games on pure talent and by a large margin, we don't need a leader. I just don't think Kidd offers much on the court.

    Uhhh why?

You are wrong about McGrady. Since 2000 McGrady has averaged 6 assts per game. He's one of the most unselfish players in the league. He's probably one of the top 10 passers in the league in my opinion. He even passes to Chuck Hayes and gets him points. That there is the epitomy of being unselfish. Mcgrady is a team player. I have no doubt about it.

Well of course. We have a good enough team to win though.

Well Miller might actually be a better shooter and Miller can rebound and pass better. Miller was also on the FIBA team and averaged around 8 points a game.

I think it's funny people thought Spain would give us a challenge. I'm not just saying that because we routed them by like 40 points, I just found it odd that people said a team where Pau Gasol is the best player has a shot to beat our team.

I was proud of Yao today. He's taken a country and made basketball their most popular sport, and taken their team from nothing to two straight medal rounds. Pretty impressive. Plus he's only 70% this year.

Dirk had a couple of minutes there where he put Germany on his back, only to throw it away. But since he is literally the only guy on his team, I can't fault him.

USA is back. They should have no trouble with the gold. This team is just bigger and stronger than the last. Overpowering.
