1)I never ranked our line ahead of the Titans. I didn't even vote.

2)Carr two years ago has nothing to do with Schaub last season.

3)Carr in Carolina has nothing to do with Schaub last season.
(Unless you are using your stats to show that he caused alot of his sacks himself. Which in turn would mean our line was better when he was here than some would like to believe.)

That's what I was getting at. I wouldn't get ahead of myself either. There's a similar difference between Schaub and Rosenfels.

    Schaub-16 sacks/11 starts
    Rosenfels-6 sacks/5 starts

Maybe because Schaub started both of the games versus the Titans. :grrhee:

Simply NOT true... nor backed up by any real facts.

How about I throw one little bone at you that implies change imo.

    2005: 68 sacks allowed.

    2007: 22 sacks allowed.

And a link to last years offensive line rankings (only one spot behind your Titans btw). http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol.php

I wont even go into the fact that we have drafted Duane Brown, Charles Spencer, Kasey Studdard, Eric Winston, Brandon Frye... as well as signed a few free agents and just traded for our new Center (Meyers) from Denver. I think maybe one player remains on the line from 2005.

Yet they can't keep Carr or Schaub healthy.

You do realize Carr only missed 4 games in 5 years when he was in Houston... right?

So him playing in Carolina has nothing to do with that?

It's because Carr holds on to the ball for too long. That's why he's on his 3rd team in 3 years.

Who is the OL we drafted last year who was out all last season? Was his name Mike Otto?

You are missing the point anyway. We just added a #1 pick at LT, traded for a new starting Center from Denver this offseason, got two 3rd rd steals in Eric Winston and Charles Spencer who are very solid O-linemen (too bad Spencer got hurt) from the 2006 draft, have been drafting and signing much needed depth in case of future injuries (before players had to play out of natural position due to lack of depth, not anymore). As well as just hired one of the best O-line specialists in the NFL...possibly all time. I gave you vast improvements in sacks as proof of improvement/change. I gave you an in depth O-line ranking that takes into account numerous statistics,etc.... that puts the Texans O-line ranked at 10 (only one behind the Titans). The best it has ever been on that website btw... thus showing improvement/change. Feel free to hang your hat on Schaubs injuries... but Sage didnt get hurt while in there. Schaub is a whole nother discussion that needs another year to play out before anyone can even think about coming to any conclusions on.

Sure, there is a long ways to go. But this current group is a VERY LONG ways from where we were just 2 years ago. To say otherwise is just plain wrong.
