He got Finny exactly right. Chris Hope would have been a good choice as well.

BUT VY is not overrated. Mainly because he isn't highly rated. I don't know who Prisco listens to that loves VY, but for the whole year he has gotten trashed.

In the end, it's a pretty good read. I don't agree on some of them (CJ, Michael Turner, Peppers, Mathis, Cromarite, and VY) but he gets a lot right (Stallworth, Ahman Green, Reggie Bush, Joey Porter, Edge James, and Roy Williams).

VY is probably overrated by the media considering what he did in college. His first year he did have some spectacular plays helping to lead the tam to the brink of the playoffs. What Young proved last year is he is still a young QB who has a long way to go.

Overrated by the media attention. I think most people have him pegged right though.

I agree that the expectations were too high going into this year. However, I believe he is underrated because of the storm of criticism that hit this year. While he deserved some of it, he took more hits for playing like a second year QB than he should have. I expect him to do much better this year with Dinger at the helm. All in all, I think he has outdone what we expected out of his first two years when he was drafted. He does need to improve this year, but again, I think he will.

I dont think he is overrated or underrated, he is noted for what he did his rookie year, the rose bowl, and a bad 2nd season, the conclusion is he doesnt have weapons around him, until we see what he can do with some weapons, its tough to call

I wouldn't call him overrated; I'd say most people are well aware of his strengths and weaknesses.

    Overhyped? Probably. Overrated? Nah.

I don't think he is over or under rated. Nobody considers him an elite QB even though there were some comments to that effect in 06 like the steve young comment that vince was top 5.

We are 17-11 with vince as our starting QB and that is without any pro bowl player on offense with him. We can say that defense was the primary reason we went 10-6 last year but we were 8-5 with vince in 06 and that was hardly an outstanding defensive unit.

The TD to int ratio is horrible but his passing rating to date of 70 isn't horrible for a young guy. He did improve on every stat but that one.

This year a healthy vince in a little more accomodating offense with a little more to work with can show some solid improvement. Maybe even a passing rating of 80.

I think this is the kind of thing that fuels this underrated/overrated talk. "He just wins" started when he was a rookie, and to be fair, as a rookie, he did take over some games at the most opportunistic times, and he won those games despite his stats. That didn't carry over into last season. Last season, it should have been "The defense just wins".

He's not overrated because all he's done since he's been here is win.
