In 2019 JRob added top available guard Rodger Saffold via free agency and drafted Nate Davis to fill in an offensive line that already included veterans Taylor Lewan, Ben Jones and rising star Jack Conklin. That line proved to be the best Titans lineup in the last decade, and helped carry our team to the AFC Championship. Three years later, that line is a distant fond memory. While Jones is still serviceable, the current lineup lacks any veteran reliability and leadership. Denise Daley, LRaven Clark and Jemarco Jones are third string caliber journeyman who offer nothing in upside. The line NEEDS stability. Free agents Eric Fisher and Ereck Flowers are decent players still and would be decent options, but the reality is, the ONLY way to solidify this group right now is to trade for a high end veteran. LT, RT and LG could ALL use an upgrade. Jrob needs to swallow his damn pride and pull the trigger already. Enough is enough.

Every team I'm remotely aware of has line issues. Who is out there trading their high end vets? And do we really want to give up high picks for a rental?

There are numerous one win teams that can already see the writing on the wall and could very well be into trading an expensive vet for future draft capital. Falcons traded pro bowl LB Dion Jones to the Browns last night. I would absolutely give up a high pick for a high level starting caliber lineman. That pick in the draft would be a question mark anyway, better to add a known commodity like we did with Saffold.

Linebackers aren't really a premium position and get dumped all the time. See Zach Cunningham. That is very different than a lineman.

Carter absolutely needs to be replaced. He is a terrible O-line coach.

We can scream to Heaven all we want. As long as the Titans eek out wins, they will say that will validate that they have made the right decisions.

Unfortunately this is too true. I wouldn’t count on the Titans to make any substantial move in -season. The best you can hope for is another North Dakota State non-experienced squad signing.

Daley definitely was bad. The running blocking was actually pretty decent; Henry had some nice holes yesterday. The limited time that Tannehill had yesterday was really sad, though.

More than half the teams in the league have dog**** lines. There are lots of buyers and no sellers.

Simple fact is, that the modern college game does not produce enough quality linemen to stock the league. And now ******* goodell wants to add a 4-8 team euro division.

Daley was on the verge of being cut by the Panthers. What does J Rob do? He turns around and offers draft capital to Carolina for a bum who was one of the worst graded linemen in the entire NFL last season.

That wasn't enough, oh no. J Rob signed Jamarco Jones who was never able to secure a starting gig on what has consistently been one of the NFL's worst offensive lines in Seattle to compete with an undersized 275lb UDFA at LG to replace Saffold.

The Titans don't have the draft capital to wheel and deal for offensive line help, the majority of the mid round picks have already been moved. Obviously 1st through 3rd rounders are off-limits for short term help. The Titans have a 5th and 7th rounder available in 2023 to trade, not exactly appealing. As it stands the Titans have 5 picks in the 2023 draft, don't expect any trades.
