I can't imagine that their long term strategy is to have the fewest carries in the league each year. Passing the ball is much more efficient. They're going to need to adapt at some point.

 

Do they though? 12-5 and success against the best teams in the league including the SB champs.
I’m d say the run first and solid D approach works pretty well, but I’d also make the argument that solid D is the key regardless.

 

I've always preferred the shut down D and ball control approach. I like physical plodding O that breaks the opposition spiritually and physically. If done correctly, it's the best way.

 

They're not going to become the Chiefs. But I don't believe they want to remain at the bottom of that list. Not because it's a bad formula, but because it's getting stale and they need to be less predictable. 3 years of basically the same offense is on tape. The hiring of a passing game coordinator leads me to believe they're headed this route.

We are probably overreacting to everything associated with Burks leaving the field. The good news, he came back both times he left. The bad news, Vrabel is probably Not impressed.
