Good for him. Some "fans" are just ridiculous and will choose to be miserable and hateful on both ends of a coin.

Also, the "not his job to mentor" comment is completely understandable. This really is a non-issue that will get spun by media and fans into drama. It isn't his job. That's why you pay coaches. His job is to get better and win football games. In doing that, he's automatically helping the young gun. I doubt Tannehill is going to shun or ignore Willis. The comment is fine and I wouldn't be surprised if that's his way of having fun with the media.

With that mentality when AJ was having mental health issues Vrabel should of told him to kick rocks, it's not his job to mentor AJ, his job is to make the Titans a good football team. Mentoring isn't just job/football related things it encompasses a lot of areas.

You’re right it’s 2022. People don’t stigmatize seeking help like they used to. But many also consider best kept as personal business. A better response Thill could have made was an apology for his performance and he’s taken steps to get it straight for this upcoming year.

too many people today play the victim/ health card for secondary gain to avoid accountability. I see it EVERY day. Social media driven need for immediate affirmation.

Tanny apologized to the defense after the game. He owned it.

And his poor play in the game is the very reason he says it was the first time he “needed” therapy to deal with the disappointment.

You read the article before you posted it, right?

    Yeah. It’s called “ignorance”.

Same as many stigmas associated with race, ethnicity, gender, etc. throughout history.

Nothing wrong with him seeing a therapist a lot of professional athletes have personal therapists or mindset coaches. It’s completely normal I’m glad he went.

Nothing wrong with seeking therapy. Plenty wrong with publicizing it for secondary gain and affirmation. I see it EVERY day in my job. There’s nothing ignorant about tgat opinion. In fact, I’d suggest the opposite it the truth in regards to secondary gain.
