Really? You said he was a top 5 paid QB. That was your point. You can argue that manipulating the CAP might come back to bite us but Tannehill is not getting paid top money.

Can’t really say that until next year. But my point is It’s hard to retain core players when a QB makes that much.

Well obviously lol I’m just saying it’s hard to point to many examples of a Super Bowl winning team having a top 5 paid QB. Doesn’t happen often.

 

This move should help the titans tremendously but we won't know until the season starts

 

One thing about all this cap hit argument, the cap is shooting back up again next year, with it expected to jump up again the year after. So just because it looks like we are close this year, we are in mych better shape next year.

Exact quote about Tannehill being paid top 5 money and instead of manning up and saying, hey, maybe you are saying "I am a little less than a full deck", and it is hey, I'll remove all doubt and prove I'm more than a little limited. Or maybe a "QB makes that much" doesn't mean what it means? Or Tanny will be paid "top 5 money in 2022"? Really? He barely makes the top 10. Whatever.
