Titans decline Rashaan Evans 5th year option; hope for extension

    I thought trading him would have been the route they took...with draft pick Rice, J Brown and Long, should extending Brown not be the better option?

    Not sure I want to re-sign Evans just yet, unless it's a team friendly deal. He was coming along well, especially towards the end of 2019, but he was pretty meh in 2020 (to be fair, so was our entire defense outside of Butler and Simmons).

    Not shocking but how much is the 5th year option of ILB? Figured it might be cheap enough to keep.

    not a surprise....he will play lights out this yr just like Davis did this past yr and then hit FA....really doubt a long term deal gets done.

    I don't want to pay Crowder's 10mil salary and then have him walk as a FA next yr...I'll gladly pick him up after June 1st when the Jets cut him.

    I also want to see Evans and Brown both balling out for their next deals.

    Well it was like $11 million to sign Jayon to the franchise tag. 5th year option is average of top 10 salaries at the position. So I’d imagine it would be around that price.
