This literally happens all the time. I don’t know why y’all are having such a hard time with that part.

Bill Cosby was having stuff brought up from like 30 years ago. All of these are within the last 6-12 months.

Not having a hard time with it. Just recognize the BS that's all. The lawyer the Texans hired said in a news conference he didn't know Carl McNair was the Owner of the Texans lol

Yea.. so that’s not far out there, Most women don’t say anything. Have you not been paying attention? Just google it. It’s not suspect because a woman doesn’t report sexual assault. No, none of the women went back after being assaulted. He did see one of them twice, but the assault occurred on the 2nd visit allegedly.
Watson was still doing this just a month ago.

If he did any of this, He didn’t pay because of his power wealth and arrogance. How is that not clear?

Yep.. no... that’s not what he said, He said he doesn’t know him. He said he doesn’t follow the Texans. He said this isn’t about the Texans.

I think it looks bad for Watson no doubt. But living in NC, I remember the Duke lacrosse team being accused of gang rape and the folks around here were ready to “hang the rich boys” and it turned out to be a false accusation. I believe it is prudent to wait until the process is fully open to activate our judgement mode.

100% agree but the lacrosse team didn’t have 12 girls claiming rape. Not really a comparable situation.

I don’t recall a single person who was charged from a plethora of people and was innocent. But that being said, we don’t have all the information yet so let’s wait and see how it plays out.

His public move to say he will turn evidence over to the DA's office/law enforcement says little to me about the strength of his evidence. A potential indictment only needs probable cause, a very low burden of proof. To me what this shows is how good of a job Buzbee is doing at the moment in public relations and putting the screws to Watson to either force a settlement, or poison the jury pool in a potential trial against Watson.

Think about it this way, according to Watson, before filing the lawsuits Buzbee was in contact with Watson/his representative and asked for a six figure settlement in lieu of lawsuits. Watson said no and Buzbee filed lawsuits in District Court. While he only invoked the minimum amount in controversy to invoke the District Court's jurisdiction (looks pretty noble), what he hasn't stated is that District Court's do not have much of a limit on the amount of damages one can obtain. If he asked for less, he would be in county court where there is a $250,000 limit on compensatory damages (sans punitive and other types of damages). And Buzbee can amend his petition to ask for more damages.

While the cases are in their initial stages, Buzbee has done a masterclass in trying his case to the public over the past week. A slow, steady trickle of lawsuits being filed, each more graphic than the next. The release of a few pieces of evidence that make Watson look bad, and a press conference. It's been pretty effective at poisoning the well against Watson I would say. Buzbee isn't going to release evidence to the public that undercuts his claims (I'm sure he has some, no case is perfect). And he is probably going to give his best stuff to the District Attorney's Office and Law enforcement. It is in Buzbee's (and his client's) interest to have law enforcement and the District Attorney's Office involved as it puts more pressure on Watson and helps to turn the public further against Watson.

Even if Hardin has sent Buzbee discovery requests, Buzbee wouldn't have to respond for a couple of weeks. Buzbee also knows that the District Attorney's Office and Law Enforcement will most likely want to conduct their own investigations before deciding whether to file charges and seek an indictment. For the moment, time is on Buzbee's side. Buzbee is in the drivers position at the moment and he is taking advantage of it. As Hardin and his legal team complete their investigations and receive discovery from Buzbee , I'd imagine that Hardin will be able to go on the offensive on behalf of Watson in the court of public opinion.

I would think Buzbee has some evidence to support the allegations that have been made, or else he wouldn't have filed these suits. Whether the evidence Buzbee has proves those claims is a different matter altogether. I practice criminal defense for a living. I have been involved in cases where the District Attorney has made their case look like a slam dunk at trial and all the State got for their troubles was hearing two words from a jury, "not guilty."

As i have said, it looks bad for Watson, really bad. However, the suits are only a week old and they have got a long way to go. Have to try and keep an open mind and see how this plays out.

This is why your insight is truly great to have so that we get an understanding of the nuances that are involved in this case.

    Thank you

PFT says multiple teams willing to trade for him. Texans should have already done it. Value going down everyday with each claim
