Arthur Smith is a Big Issue!

We were 5-0, now 6-3. Not saying people should be fired, but we damn sure are going in the wrong direction.

 

I just don’t understand how the Titans are so incapable of running a screen. Like every single time it gets blown up in the back field.

 

AJ Brown 48 targets on the year (leads the team) and he missed time due to injury.

Firkser has 31 targets on the season and has played every game.

 

But we don’t throw to RB’s when he’s out of the game. So it’s not like his lack of pass catching is restricting the offense. It’s just not something we do.

 

Ya i agree 100%, i already said this in another thread i think. He's one of the most talented players in the league, a true elite wr 1. And we give him usually 7 ish targets a game. Has to be way higher

 

Yeah. That's great. I'm talking about Thursday. That's why I said, "the biggest problem from Thursday..."

4 targets for Brown. 3 for Firkser.

But if we're going to talk about Firker's usage in general, basically 1/3 of Frikser's targets have come in the last two games without Humphries. He's not a Humphries substitute. We need to stop treating him like one. Those targets need to go to someone with more ability, especially the third down targets.

 

How is he not a Hump substitute? His ability is to make catches on 3rd down. That’s what he’s best at. He’s super reliable.

Whens the last time Firkser dropped 2 passes in a game?

 

Yes!

Everybody else drop the grump and quit trying to pin it on my man Firkser. He knows his routes, reads the coverage and has good hands. He's not a freak athlete but DEFINITELY a great role player. He's not the problem and he's not "stealing" targets. Hump is out, AJB is getting 2x coverage, Tannehill is getting PRESSURED every drop back b/c our OL is weak with injury and poor GMing (draft, FA Conklin gone).

 

Going to be tough for any team to win with backup OL playing significant time.

But Tannehill has been sacked 4.1% of the time this season. 9th lowest rate this season.
