No, they'd rather play for whomever pays them the most. You're way more marketable in Cleveland than in Nashville. Not all of your income comes from the team.

Players want to win and play too. Those orgs are garbage, Titans are not on that level.

You are also ignoring taxes. All things being equal, you make more in states like Tennessee, Florida and Texas.

You get paid more to play in Cleveland as incentive for playing in Cleveland.

 

People need to stop with the Eeyore stuff, pretending the Titans are the worst team to play for. Not even close.

Teams that are 100% worse to play for than the Titans:

• Cleveland
• Cincinnati
• Miami (joke org with a horrible owner)
• Las Vegas (see above)
• Buffalo (bigger dump than Cleveland and a giant snow storm half the year)
• Chicago (a hole fans and high taxes)
• Arizona (Armpit of the NFL)
• Detroit (do you need an explanation?)
• Jacksonville (Ask Yanni)
• Washington (idiot owner, horrible city)
• Chargers (Ask Eli)

There are several others which are debatable.

There are only a handful I would, 100% put ahead of the Titans

• Dallas
• Denver
• NY teams (maybe not the Jets)
• Seattle
• Green Bay
• KC

 

U can get paid a lot to play for a crappy team but if they have taxes it would prob equal out to joining a good team that doesn't have taxes.

Also you don't even have to be a good player to be marketable, u just need a personality. I think if u want that spotlight u can find it anywhere, doesn't have to be a place where no one wants to go.

RG3 was marketable and could barely crack starter rotation in the league.
Baker is marketable and hasn't performed as a starting QB
The Boys are marketable
Marshawn Lynch was marketable
Minshew is marketable and hes Bortles 2.0

 

Doesnt Seattle travel more than any team? Thats not ideal.
