Yea not worth what a top 10 pick at WR gets under the option rules.

    Still worth keeping around tho...

I agree he has just not lived up to being a top 5 or a first round pick. However I do hope he can emerge this year with a full season of a competent nfl qb throwing the football.

And A.J. Brown dictating coverage should lead to a better year for davis.

Not taking the 5th year option is the correct call and could lead to another 3rd compensatory pick later on like we should get for Conklin.

I think as a top 10 pick Coreys 5th year option would have been near $16 million. That’s like Tyreek Hill money. Really appreciate Davis and hope he flourishes and sticks around, but this just makes the most sense right now.

Adoree deserves it but will likely never see the option money anyway. We’ll get a long term deal done next offseason for sure. Great player.

I want Davis to stay and take a nice deal. He seems to be a hard worker, good teammate, great blocker, and he was pretty productive for the volume of looks he was given.

...but I think most dudes are going to see this as a fire right next to the bridge.

I would have took the chance and picked up both. Especially with the cap reportedly going up considerably in 2021. As long as no serious injuries, you could still cut Davis loose for nothing.

Hopefully, CD has a big year and we can work something out long term.

That’s a shame. He hasn’t earned the money he would get with the 5th year option.
If he walks (not resigns for cheaper), no other way to see that pick but as a bust.

I don't agree at all, but I use "bust" a lot more sparingly. I mean, only 12 first rounders from 2016 are on their original team. Only 7 first rounders from 2015 are on their original team.

I don’t think the lack of players sticking with their team redefines a bust, it only shows that more players can be considered a bust.

a #5 pick that can’t play well enough to earn a 5th year option is less than the value of what should be expected from a #5 pick. That’s a bust.
Not making the argument of biggest ever or even biggest in Titans history. Just not enough out of him to have justified the #5 pick spent.
