I'm 100000% down with 0 preseason games and 16 regular season games.

College football doesn't have a preseason to get geared up, and those are amateurs. The NFL doesn't need one either.

Well, I’m not sure that Bama vs. UCSLU muddogs is really anything more than preseason but many teams pass on preseason.

 

Bama regularly opens with an FCS team. Bama regularly wins that game too.

 

I think the nfl has seen its peak. It will begin/continue to decline, and rather than try to improve the product, they will do crap like this and continue to squeeze every last drop of revenue out of a declining fanbase.

Years ago, I watched nfl football any game that I could get. Now, if the Titans aren't involved, I don't watch. I don't even watch the super bowl usually.
