Russian dressing is basically Thousand Island so its also delicious.

Thousand Island is a mayo base with a sweetness from the pickle relish.

Russian is a mayo base but spicier because chilli sauce or hot sauce along with horseradish.

That’s like saying ranch and thousand island are the same because they both contain mayonnaise.

No it’s basically me saying the spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A is similar to the regular chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A.

What’s the Difference Between Russian and Thousand Island Dressing?

A lot of places that serve “1000 island” really actually serve Russian dressing.

Ironic the guy who uses a marinade as a dressing is acting like a dressing cognoscenti.

Gah, all you white breads inventing "dressings" as an excuse to slather salads with mayonnaise. Gross.

 

Haha. There are actual dressings, dude. Like vinaigrettes and Italian. All the others are just flavored mayonnaise dips.

 

If you’re buying basic premade bottled dressings, they are all going to most likely not be great for you.

I’ll make dressings occasionally or just use Red Wine Vinegar as a dressing if I’m eating salad at the house. If you’re going for a vinaigrette, it’s hard to beat Greek.
