Cap Space & Looming Free Agents

We will have a hard time keeping conklin. He will likely get offers to play left tackle for big money elsewhere.

 

I feel like that would be a big mistake. We need to keep him at RT, for his sake as much as ours.

 

Maybe not. Everyone knows he has heavy feet. LT in the NFL needs to be more nimble

Hes really in the best possible spot with us. Run heavy offense on the right side. Aka the side the 2nd OLB lines up..

Hes got it made right now. He could value that.

 

If the jets are willing to break the bank on a LT that is terrible in pass protection then they can have him. Someone is going to pay him a lot of money and I’m not sure he’s worth it

 

If so, we should start thinking about what this offense looks like with Kelley at RT. Consider the fact that means we likely have enough money to keep Logan Ryan or go after another free agent.

 

I have a really hard time paying a RB and RT top money....in my mind they are 2 of the easier positions to find replacements for.

 

Both performed as well as anyone at thier position tho. Thats hard to replace

 

Logan played his way out of TN as far as Im concerned

Get faster there and save $$$, win-win

 

I am guessing he will choose the biggest contract in the end.
