Don't care what he says...and really not sure what home fan ticket sales has to do with the team traveling to ratbird city this week.

Does anyone know how the nfl divides ticket sales amongst the 32 teams?

Do the Titans benefit financially from fans traveling?

I know the nfl has revenue sharing, but im not sure whats included in all of that.

I do know if I buy a Derrick Henry jersey through nflshop.com Im actually sending each team 1/32 of that sale. So are tickets subject to that same thing?

What I see hurting attendance is the age of the Titans. Nashville had NFL fans prior to the team showing up 21 years ago. Plus I have often heard thru this forum many of the residents of Nashville are not from Nashville, hence why theyre not Titan fans

Are all those people expected to attend Titan games....

Not only that but fans complain it’s about losing. Well I flew in for the Jacksonville game. We smoked them and the stadium was half empty by mid 4th quarter.

Complain about losing, but smoking a division rival, still gonna leave early.

From an outsider perspective. I live in Houston and can tell you it’s way more expensive to go to a game here than in Nashville. I don’t think Titans tickets are outrageous at all.

This is dead on. The Coliseum was rocking from Opening day in 99 until about 2004. That's is when the on field product started a decline when the front office chose not to resign Jevon Kearse. Then, over the next 5 years, the front office continued to be cheap and not resign veterans (Derek Mason, Samari Rolle, eventually Keith Bulluck). The straw that broke the camel's back was when they locked Steve McNair out of the practice facility for fear he could injure himself and they would be on the hook for his salary. The next year, when the Titans played the Ravens, McNair was the Ravens QB, and Rolle and Mason were also on the Ravens. The team drafted trash, whiffed on QB with VY and Locker, and was terrible for a good 10-12 years (there was one year with Kerry Collins as QB where they had a number 1 seed in the playoffs, but lost to the Ravens).

A "new" team (to Nashville) that had early success, in a publicly financed stadium, subsequently sucked for over a decade, and , with no local history, the fans got fed up with losing and seemingly no end to the losing in sight (couldn't draft well, couldn't/wouldn't attract any significant free agents). With the New GM Robinson, that is slowly but surely turning around. But, they will have to sustain competitiveness (at a higher clip than yearly 9-7's) for a good period of time, and land a legit starting QB. Is Tannehill the answer? I do not know. I wouldn't mind signing Tannehill to a 3 year deal, and draft and develop Jalen Hurts in the 2nd or 3rd round if he is available. That would go a long way to sustaining competitiveness and bringing the fans back. But, the front office selling unsold PSL's to brokers is greed that is undermining the team's goals civically and business wise. You almost would rather have empty seats if the coach is complaining about opposing fans at home games during the playoffs.

I don't know how the Texans treat their season ticket holders. Titans give a box of junk periodically and discount bottled water and pretzels to $4. That's it.

Anyway- the market dictates ticket prices. And if the seats are empty or being sold at a loss by season ticket holders- the tix ARE overpriced for the market. Texans probably have a higher demand- climate controlled stadium helps take weather away and the Texans have been winning and in playoffs for a while.

Im not sure what the season ticket holders get either but I would imagine it is more than that. I’d bet they get some houston rodeo passes (happens at the stadium) or something along those lines. There are tons of events that happen at NRG throughout the year and I’m sure they get first dibs or access to them.

I thought you were talking about general ticket prices. Not the overall price for season ticket holders. That I can’t argue with. Carry on!
