Weird how MG waited until 10 days in and his hearing to say a racial slur was involved. I would think that would be something that would have been made public that night or the next day after all this craziness went down, sounds like BS and I’m firmly in the camp that Rudolph should have been suspended at least a game for how he was trying to rip MG’s helmet off first.

Been only 24 hours but take the bet, it’s only for titans moolah

Disregard that “indefinite suspension upheld” tweet above and stick to your guns.

    This is what you said-

That’s what I responded to. Garrett tackled him, Rudolph kicked him in the nuts in the pile, then Garrett grabbed his face mask. Pouncey and DeCastro start shoving Garrett while he has the face mask grabbed and then the helmet comes off. The shoving gets harder and Garrett loses it further and takes a swing- then all the punching/kicking.

My point was that it was not ALL on Garrett like was being FIRST reported and what you believe. Without some provacative behavior by Steelers players, the situation would not have occurred, nor would it have escalated. It was a chit show from both sides.

Nut grabbing and helmet pulling happen literally week to week. Assault with a deadly weapon does not.

In 14 pages I don’t think anyone disagreed.

The question that could be posed from the post you quoted is, would he have swung the helmet if the Steelers hadn’t first provoked him?
It does not make it ok, but it would seem that Rudolph (at least) is partially to blame for having the situation escalated.

Pouncey is all reataliation to Garrett. Would he have kicked and punched if not provoked by the helmet swing?

Just 2-3 wrongs not making rights in this situation.

I see what you are saying, I just think the question is totally irrelevant when you are talking about punishment.

If you whip out a gun and kill somebody in a parking lot... The judge and jury are not going to care that he called you a ***** 5 seconds before.

As far as the Pouncey thing, I suppose you could make a similar case for him, but I understand the leniency when he just watched someone take a kill shot at his QB.
