The problem is, who we gonna get to be oc? Anyone experienced with anything close to a proven track record is not going to want to take a slot under Vrabel.

So that would require us to identify and hire a young up and Comer. We utterly suck at that. And even if he were successful at finding and luring one, and he was successful, he's promptly bail and be a head coach somewhere, because every team in the league but us wants an offensive guru coach.

As for Vrabel... Is the defense him or pees? Eventually, pees will re-retire. Then we will see if Vrabel can do it alone.

It wasn't a good hire. I'd hope we fix it when we draft our next qb... But we won't.

If someone sucks at their job you replace them, period. The moment you start the "but who can we get" you screw yourself. Doesn't matter, if an employee isnt doing their job, get rid of them and try the next person. If that person isnt getting it done, get rid of them.

My point was not that we should not replace Arthur with a new oc. My point was that such a solution likely won't work.

What we need to do is what we should have done last go round... Find an offensive guy and make him the head coach.

No. The right way is to bring an experienced "offensive consultant". Seems to me like the Colts have done that a couple of times. And somebody else also did it successfully- I'm having trouble remembering and don't have time right now to look it up.

It was foolish to think that Arthur Smith could come in with no OC experience and successfully guide this offense without some experienced guy helping guide him.

Vrabel was successful in that completion challenge... I thought he totally wasted a TO there - LOL

McGinnis said a Panther MLB verbally called a TItan play at the LOS and then blew it the F up - he was exasperated about it

I was at the game and the Panthers fan next to me was amazed at how I was guessing the play call correct so many times.....I just said that if you watch this team enough you get a feel for what they feel comfortable doing in certain down and distances.

In pre-game warm up Succop had a bunch of big time shanks....my son ask me if I thought he was ready to go and I said they wouldn't put him out if they didn't think he was good to go...guess I was wrong.

After the opening 2nd half TD drive Lewan came over to the sideline and got right in Arthur Smith's face and was yelling...hard to tell exactly what the context was though...

Probably something along the lines of “if the play calling doesn’t change, I swear on the next big play, I’m grabbing someone’s face mask.”
