Yea I'm not even expecting anything crazy out of him today

Probably see him on some kind of pitch count. The guy hes replacing on the roster averaged 15 snaps on defense. That's probably what Simmons sees his first game back.

Simmons at his best is a beast for sure. But how sharpe do you think he will be not having a training camp under his belt?

Remember Evans last year after missing camp? Super sloppy for a few weeks.

I expect to see a glimpse of something that shows why we took him. At least 1 play where he dominates his guy and we blow up the play.

I'm just as weary about him gearing up as everyone else is but I'm sure the staff made him clear all the necessary hoops. People respond differently to injuries and recovery time. I know people bring up Conk but I think his issues were more mental as oppose to being rush backed. You hear players say all the time that the biggest obstacle from ACL injuries is the mental aspect of it. I don't expect him to play a ton today maybe a dozen plays or so, could be less but I'm excited to see him suit up.

AP came back after 9 months and rushed for 2g,Chris Harris returned after 8 months and had an all pro year, Von Miller came back after 8 months and put together a good year, and plenty of other players. I don't expect him to come out and play at an all pro level because he still is a rookie but just pointing out recovery times are all different depending on the player.

I think it is a little easier to go make a play as a DL.

Not only was Evans rusty, he was totally inexperienced and expected to make the right read. Simmons should have a chance to line up with a guy and be expected to do nothing but beat that one guy.

With that said, Jurrell Casey was a little shaky the first few weeks this year coming off a surgery and so was Adoree.

You're right about DL being easier than LB. LBs have to read plays, DL is more about out running or over powering people.

With that said, I expect his snaps to be limited.

Tnere's no need to be weary. The coaches wouldn't put him out there without the doctors recommendation.
