JRobs average azz got us into this OL mess. my opinion of him doesn’t matter but since u brought it up, cleaning up the mess he made wouldn’t lower it regardless of a single year cap hit if we got something in return.

You act like big contract players can’t and have never been traded. Happens a lot. Good GMs can parlay a short term hit into something big down the road. And sometimes u just eat the cap hit to get a player out of the locker room.

I do agree Lewan’s extension now looks astronomically stupid by JRob. And that it’s very unlikely he can recover ANYTHING respectable in return.

Since it happens "a lot", want to share an example?

JRob's deal made trading Lewan impossible.

don’t care that much about debating - it DOES happen, Bettina, Favre, Steve Young, Faulk, Dickerson, Tunsil (recently), Montana, Dickerson and others

But I agree. JRob has put us in a bad way with the current OL UNLESS Tannehill will pull the trigger quickly and get these Run blitzes cooled off. That alone may get our line performing at least to 50% the performance to match our investment

Why did he extend Ben Jones. Hire Art to be the OC. Made some huge draft misses. He sucks.

If Simmons ain’t the truth , Jrob should definitely pack it up . I think Simmons is official though.

We all know why Art is the OC. It has been said over and over. To give the failed Mariota experiment one last chance.

I am really curious, now that Art has a qb that can make throws if our offense opens up or if we are still going to do the -2 yard bubble screens and 5 yard throws.

No change is my guess. But I hope to see AJ and Delanie get the ball more, those two are the truth here.

I've had this thought as well. He'd have to get healthy, but he'd be an improvement,

OBJ, AB, Mack was on his rookie contract but part of that stipulation was to sign a new one, so it counts.

Lewan being on a big contract, conflicts things.

what complicates things even more, is that he isn’t that good of a player.

Ive said Lewan and Conklin were one of the most overrated oline players in the league for a few years now and people are quick to jump to their PPF stats.

As bad as Mularkey was, he was able to mask our weaknesses on the interior line and provided alot of help.
