Yep. It's not bad oline play, or bad QB play, or bad WR play, or bad coaching, or bad schemes. It's the fact that there is a running back who went to Alabama in the backfield.

Henry is not the problem. He has been solid for the most part and played well this year overall, I like him and hope we keep him. Put him behind a semi competent o-line and he will tear it up.

If he goes this off season to a team where he doesnt get contacted 2-3 yards behind the LOS every play he could be a top 5 rusher in the league. He needs work in the passing game though.

Henry is still unreliable picking up a blitzing LB. For a huge guy, he's soft as a blocker.

But he's been getting hit before he gets back to the line most of his carries. Maybe blame the OL for some of that but if the QB could pose a threat AT ALL in throwing the ball, teams would have to respect it and you wouldn't see as many run blitzes or 9 in-the-box as often.

Do you think Derrick Henry is a complete NFL running back?

Nope. But, that’s not what you said.

I dont think he is a "complete" NFL running back, but I think he has really high ceilings in several areas of being an NFL rb, that is more than good enough to keep him as an NFL rb for the right price.

I've said repeatedly, over the course of the last four years, that he has a role on this team. It's as a hammer in the fourth quarter.

He can't catch. He can't block. He's an inconsistent runner. Having him as the featured back hampers this offense, as does Mariota being the starting QB. The Heisman backfield has been an abject failure.

This is Mariota all over again. His ceiling is getting us nowhere.

He's great when he has one or fewer guys to beat. Let him run in a straight line towards the end zone like he did in Cleveland and he's great. What NFL RB can't do those things?

That is where "for the right price" comes into the equation. For the right price, we get rid of Lewis, bring in our hopeful future rb and Henry becomes a piece of the offense, not the focal point of the offense. I would rather have Henry than Lewis or Fluellen. He doesn't have to be the feature back though.

They sold out to stop Henry and were forcing Mariota to beat them. Mariota was incapable so the box continued to be stacked and Henry had nowhere to go. I hope the Titans stick with Tannehill. Nevermind, my body is ready to tank, so keep Marcus as a starter so we can continue to lose
