Your last paragraph is what I’ve been arguing basically. Until some firm credible evidence comes out- hardline “he raped her cuz he’s a pos!” is just as bad as the victim blaming. But that’s ultimately due to timing...

But somehow even a slight mention of concern for the accused gets turned into some weird victim blaming/rape defender idea in these situations. Which isn’t the case 99% of the time.

I don't know. I guess I just grew up with a lot of girl friends. I have been in the bed with plenty of girls that I didn't bang. Have had plenty of girls spend the night that I wasn't into and wouldn't hit it. How about some kissing or handholding or something that shows they were more than just friends.
