I have a 4K TV and feel I’m missing out on quality with my old PS4. Those of you who have a 4K TV and made the upgrade, was it worth it? How close are we to PS5?
Any games you feel you must have? I bought one with the past year for Red Dead Redemption 2... but primarily to play with my old college friends in GTA OOnlin. A few sessions with them and it paid for itself for me.
If you waited this long, I feel another year isn't going to hurt. Unless you just got the money to blow.
Have you considered going to PC. I put an amd rx480 graphics card (which is pretty much the same as whats in a ps4 pro) in an I7 Hp workstation. I now have a fully functional gaming machine as well as a very capable pc for less than $300 total. If going for 4k you could up your budget to $400-500 and get way better than ps4 pro graphics.
He got it. @TitanJeff get the PS4 Pro now because you never by new consoles at launch. If it launchers November 2020 I wouldn't buy one until Spring/Summer 2021. I have a 4K TV but only the standard PS4 but I've played PS4 Pro on my buddy's ridiculously nice 4K TV and the jump in quality is noticable on some games. If you've got a nice 4K TV the upgrade is pretty nice. That said you could probably wipe your PS4 and trade that in or sell it for a nice discount on the Pro model.
Or just go with an xbox. That is what happened to me. i bought my 4k tv and was planning on buying a ps4 to go with it. Then I saw that PS4 did not play 4k discs. So instead of buying a 4k video player, decided to get xbox one for the same price and also play games.
I think both new consoles come out next fall, I'd wait. It's the reason I didn't get the upgraded xb1.
