  2. No way, the Titans way is to build up your hopes only to crush them as soon as you start to believe.

The opposing team play some a part in making the other team commit those penalties.

Quote of the day yesterday, while I was at the Caliente (Nuevo Laredo).

Week 2 last year coaching staff coached a hell of a game But with smoke and mirrors.
2nd half week 1 actual adjustments by the coaching staff.

    ~ Some cartel dude.

We are about to get the Colts and Jags with their backup QBs the next two weeks. Then we get Lewan back after week 4. If we get Lewan back with a 3-1 record and 2-0 in the division, we are in a REALLLY good spot.

Can't vote for either of those options yet. This game really told me nothing. It's cool to win, even when the other team just self-destructs. We still have a lot of questions.

    1. How good is our pass rush? Wake had a big day, but then you realize none of the big plays happened until after the browns lost their LT AND his backup.

    2. How good is our O-line? I know the browns are really good up front, but man... just too many jailbreaks. Thank God Aurthur slowed them down with the rollout screens and quick passes.

    3. Do we have a downfield passing attack? AJ Brown made a couple of plays. Is that enough to get teams to respect that threat? I think not, at least not yet. I hope he keeps it going though. Would like to see Mariota hit a reciever in stride after he gets past the defender deep. Still waiting....

I think the Titans took a big step today. Sure it's a W and a win is a win, but there were a lot of things going into this game that were big concerns.

Our OL looked poor against Pitt in the real final pre-season game and then coming into this front in an away game without Lewan and a new RG....not a positive for us. Our offense had not looked good in pre-season either and Henry missed all of it (game action) so how would he be?

And then all the added talent and hype for the Browns. Most thought us likely to lose.

And while the Browns drove easily down the field on the opening possession, Peas emptied the playbook and took it to the Browns offense!

Wake showed up in a big way. Delanie too! For the most part, the OL was pretty solid!

But I think we all felt the momentum about to swing a few times...but the offense responded with a TD (after the Browns scored) and our D kept coming up big!

I must say...two coaching things stuck out to me. The first was having Santos go for a 53yd kick when his percentages over 40yds the last two years have not been good. That's showing confidence to WIN the game and not play to NOT lose. Secondly, I think we saw that in the offensive playcalling. We didn't just go into hand it to Derrick 3 times and punt to kill time...we moved the ball and chose our spots to throw TD's!!!

Playing to win!!! That's good stuff!!! Congrats to Vrabel, Smith, Peas and all the players for executing the game plan. It wasn't always pretty, but it was d@mn effective.

And btw, the Browns made a lot of penalties BECAUSE of us! And for the person who said we didn't start doing anything until their LT was out...ours was out the whole game in addition to our RG. Disadvantages are part of the game!

So a great first step. But next week is a much bigger one. While the Colts don't have Luck, they took the Chargers to overtime! If we think we can just show up and smack them around, we'll be the ones getting smacked around. We need to beat Indy and show everyone we mean business (which would only be reported as the Colts stink without Luck...blah blah blah!)!

Colts scare me , even with no Luck lol. Seriously can’t take them lightly. I’m jaded but according to history we lose this game . If we spank them , I’d say then maybe we’re on our way.
