For all of you who want to start the raw rookie who missed 75% of camp, how does it make you feel that Sharpe just ran out the faster, quicker, more dynamic and explosive Taywan Taylor who also was a higher drafted and more highly invested player?

I don’t see anyone in here saying Sharpe is a better long term player, what I see are people advocating that he is a more polished, prepared and consistent player that Mary needs to start the season. AJ is gonna get plenty of run, but getting the opening day start isn’t the earned decision.

Hands down AJ. Unoffical depth chart after cuts has Tajae at #4

The newest depth chart post cuts shows the titans in a 3WR base with Davis, Hump and Sharpe as starters.

I said Sharpe, but that should only be for a game or 2 at most. And the only reason I say him is because he has exp, whereas AJ missed a lot of camp. He should still absolutely get a lot of snaps in these games. If it was me playing Madden where reps are irrelevant, it would be AJ no doubt.

Well...if you’re looking at the two. Tajae is pretty maxed out physically, route running and has good hands. His problem is he isn’t dynamic or explosive in his breaks so he has trouble beating man coverage...which is what teams are gonna throw at us a lot. Impossible for him to get better? Of course not. But two things can help him out. One would becoming more explosive in his breaks. At this stage that’s probably not gonna happen. The other thing is to manufacturer getting him open which can be done...but why do that for a less dynamic wr?

AJ needs more consistency polish and experience...but all of those should improve with experience. In the mean time he’s still more explosive and a mismatch nightmares due to his size/athleticism.

As for Mariota...he needs more consistency. Part of that is him improving his mechanics and staying healthy. Can he do that? Maybe. At least part of his mechanics issues is not trusting his shaky pass protection. The other part is him. Hopefully a more consistent run game...better pass pro...and better weapons will help him be more consistent. If not...his time here will be over and we’ll see what Tannehill can do.

Not a fan of starting him week 1 but that's what is likely to happen now that Taylor is gone. Hope they use Sharpe more though.

All Mariota has to do is play all season
