Breaking News Andrew Luck retiring

Retired Earl Campbell probably demonstrates to younger players the downside of giving everything to the game. He's difficult to watch moving around... so messed up.

 

The team had zero issues riding him into the ground either.

I don’t think they have regret giving all they had but more wishing that there were more guys on the field willing to do the same(or talented enough to bother).

I think both of them help make the case for using a second RB.
CJ and White were every bit as successful as a tandem without the 400 carry seasons.

Who wants to end up like that? Or any of the other numerous players suffering from physical issues afterward?

I mean, we listened to one on the radio for years that eventually had to stop due his own brain.

Younger players see this and understand... plus you hear more and more that it's "just a game".

I feel like the last biggie was Megatron when he retired early. Wasn't as much of a lurch, granted... but it was still unexpected.

 

What happened to the Colts Suck thread! They deserved a post for booing Annie! The man suffered a lacerated kidney, torn abdomen, rib cartilage damage, and a torn labrum in 6 years, all while leading them to the playoffs 4 years and an AFC championship game.... I can’t stand Colts fans, and although Annie sucked with the rest of them, the fans showed their ass today! COLTS SUCK EVERY DAMN DAY!

So apparently when Luck retired, it put the Colts under the 90% cap spend rule. Which is why they let Luck keep his money. To help keep them closer to the 90% ... it’s also why they extended Brisket, bc they needed to hit the spend minimum
