Against Minnesota. That replay has some of the worst tackling ever and you g tripping over himself near the goal line.
He had a much better team around him. Moving to SF alone was a career saver.

I went to Super bowl 29 in Miami when they played the Charger. Growing up the Houston Oilers were my AFC team and the 49ers were my NFC team

And technically, that’s not his change, that’s Bill Walsh’s versus whoever was coaching the bottom feeders in TB.

I gotta boo the 2 team approach, but knowing Moon and the Oilers were the best is recognized.

He is quoted stating he changed his game from reckless abandon to more pocket passing.

It was an old NFL Network show that looked back on player's careers, and this one was about him. Even with all those weapons, he still played like he did in Tampa. Then after discussing with others, he realized he couldn't continue down that road, completely.

Yep. A change in scenery saved his career. Considering his rushing totals by careers end are almost the top for QBs, I’d say he did t change much at all over his career, the team around him did (and not just a little, league bottom to league best).

And he continued that trend in San Fran until he realized he couldn't continue that and he simply didn't have to.
