Disagree depending on where you stand of his “rating”.

The guy built up a SB team in Oakland which was still a good enough team to get there with stupid Bill Callahan.

He should have gotten a ring in Oakland (the infamous tuck rule) then still kept a good TB team together to win it after dingy left.

Not saying he’s the greatest by any means or even the best coach in the league but he’s definately got the resume to back up being a solid choice for coach.

    This probably.

Wouldn't be shocked if he magically changes his mind as soon as the 4th preseason game ends.

So... if Jeff Fisher had gone to another team that was already setup to win and taken them to and won the Super Bowl... he and Jon Gruden would be about the same.

meh we'll see. That was Dungy's TB team. Gruden benefitted from a good draft.

If the team he just left was also the team he played in the SB, maybe.

Agree. But Oakland was grudens team and they were also in the SB and robbed of a SB before he left.

Fisher took the Titans to a Super Bowl and the team was a Super Bowl contender still.

So, about the same... had Gruden stayed in Oakland, probably would've been the same.

Gruden and Fisher have a lot in common, scarily enough.

Eh, sort of. Fisher also stuck around in Tennessee to drive them into the dirt with a flair up in 2008.
Hard to know what happens in Oakland if he stays. He kept TB competitive most of his years after the SB.
He also proved he was garbage in Stl/LA. I suppose Gruden could still prove to be a fisher clone if Oakland gets no better over the next 3-4 years.

Not even close, far from high school. If anything it might be parroting what I had heard from my father from the time I started watching football.

Wow, on a whim... Gruden at Tampa Bay:

    2002 - 12-4 won Super Bowl
    2003 - 7-9
    2004 - 5-11
    2005 - 11-5
    2006 - 4-13
    2007 - 9-7
    2008 - 9-7

I wasn't completely serious, but now... yikes.
