Sorry guys not really local so I haven't been able to see any of the preseason games. That being said I wanted to just post a simple question. Whereas I realize its nearly impossible to judge Art Smith on preseason games, how do you guys feel as though he is doing in his new role?

How has the play calling been thus far in games and practices? I'm really curious to see if we will be in for a treat with modern play calling and creative concepts or justice of the same. A post was made a while ago breaking down all of the Titane past OCs and their success/failure we endured with each. With our new OC being an unknown commodity, how comfortable do you guys feel heading into the season with him at the head of our offense?

Ita way early but wanted to get early opinions.

Can't complain really. Going for a two point conversion with your 1s is pretty stupid but I assume that was Vrabel's decision.

Honestly it doesn't seem any better or worse than it ever does in the preseason. Just vanilla.

    It's preseason, missing starters.

You're not going to get any type of scope as to how good or bad Smith is from 2 games that don't count.

    Ask this question mid-season.

Gotcha...yeah hopefully it's better than what we got in the past. I'm really hoping to see something different this year. Feel like our playing has been like Madden, different cover, same game.

Would be really exciting if we really have something different this year.

Nothing so far seemed all that different, or made any of us go whoa, that's different, or whoa, that's really working. Just looked like more of the same. And think we would notice a difference after two pre-season games and eight quarters if for example, the offense was going to be more open. We would know it.

I didn't care for the Smith hire, but I'll reserve judgement.

We did supposedly have a young, innovative play caller last year and our offense didn't look like anything spectacular. How Green Bay offered him a HC job still blows my mind.

I suspect a run heavy offense with Hump and Walker getting a ton of looks on passing downs.

I honestly think this is the year where we are not labeled as a run heavy offense. Way to many investments in the passing game to sit here and put the identity of our offense in the hands of a running back that will be a FA next year.

    I hope you're right.

I just don't think Smith will have what it takes to utilize Davis, Brown, Hump and Walker in the passing game.

    I hope I'm wrong.

Play calling is balanced and aggressive. QB is not so sharp. Backup QB is excellent, and the play design really shines with him in the game in spite of inferior talent around him.
