No way Mariota doesn't start. He will until he gets hurt. Even if he's bad, gotta let him play to make sure they don't wanna tag him at the minimum. Plus if he's playing bad, we'll be losing which leads to a better pick to draft his replacement.

That said, if he stays healthy I think they'll have a shot at the division. That's a massive if though.

 

When you look at the two most recent seasons, there is a clearer advantage for Tannehill. His TD% was twice as high last year

 

Here’s what’s up, Mariota is starting all season if healthy for two reasons.
1) to see him ball out and prove he’s the franchise QB we all want him to be. Or
2) to see him fail miserably and lose as many games as possible to give us the best draft position possible.

Why would we swap him for Tanny? So we can continue to be a middle of the road franchise?
