Game Day Thread Titans @ Eagles GDT

Funny, but you completely forgot to mention Tannehill going for 3 and out last night. I didn't see that happen to Mariota.

I'm not bagging on Tannehill’s performance last night, I think that he played well and I'm happy the Titans have him.

But let's not crown him as the better QB based on one drive by MM and a cherrypicked quarter and a half by Tannehill during the 1st pre-season game.

The better they both play, the happier I am. I don't understand some people think that you can only like one or the other.

Tanney is Tanney (Alex).
Tannehill is THill or Tannehill.

 

You are the guy who thinks 4-8 for 24 yards was a good game. That is so past dense it is ridiculous.

 

i think moving the ball down the field and getting points on the board in your lone drive is good, which it is. (points would have been scored on the fg)

He is the better qb, because he is the better qb. He still isn't what I consider to be a "good" qb, but he is better than Mariota. None of this is based on last night, this is their careers.

Once again, listening to national sports shows, they trashed Mariota and praised Tannehill. Only people defending Mariota are the same 5 people who will go down to the last breath defending him.

Good news is, the same homers will be creaming all over themselves about the next starting qb we have and forget all about Mariota.

I never started a QB controversy. It’s clear that Mary is starter and that it’s preseason. I drank 1 beer Alex. Lol. Nobody is crowning Tannehill or Mary. Just a simple assessment. The Eagles didn’t have starters in most of the game so neither Mary or Tannehill saw much, but to sit here and act like Mary looked as good is foolish. I was there, he didn’t....It is what it is. To assume he would have got 2 smooth drives and touchdowns is also foolish. We won’t know, but we will in time. Even the music city miracles podcast said as much. It’s a good problem to have because we finally have a capable backup, because let’s face it, Mary is going down at some point. History says as much (since we are all assuming).

 

Mariota missed open guys and absolutely stared down Hump nearly every play. His last pass to hump should have been picked as he just stared him down over the middle. I get it that he had drops as well, but come on... Mary looks like a rookie still. I have no idea what Tannehill would look like with our true starters, but I seriously doubt he would look worse than Mary.
