More importantly he showed what Mariota does exceptionally well. Things that have often gone unnoticed that few other QBs are capable of doing.

I don't know if everything will finally come together for MM8 or not but I'm willing to go down with this ship if I have to.

The difference between the two is that Cosell is a very respected analyst and Ciah is a drunk from Ireland who was fired from ESPN for being a drunk ass and publishing really bad takes. He's been a Mariota fan since day 1 and blocks anyone who questions his analysis.

Him getting fired from espn has nothing to do with his analysis on qbs. He has been a fan of Mariota and he gives you every reason why. There is no disputing the fact that he has a lot of research to back up his argument. Even more so than Cosell.

You can cherry pick plays and stats for just about any player in the league and make a case that they are great. Anyway, Cosell prefaces each one of his evaluations by saying that he focuses solely on the player and not the production, which is a result of scheme, supporting cast, etc.. Ciah cherry picks stats and gives him 100% of the credit while bashing his teammates and coaches. It's dumb, biased "analysis" that anyone could put together, while Cosell provides his input based on decades of studying quarterbacks. Ciah claiming Mariota to be an elite QB immediately discredits him. You should know better

They are both doing the same thing. The point that a lot of you guys don't see in Cian point of view is how the offensive scheme has held Mariota back. He even said Mariota was an average qb when under center. So its not all glowing over his strengths. What he sees is an elite qb in shotgun formations. Cosell is judging him even in areas where the scheme isn't suited towards his strengths. Call him a system qb all you want but if we built our offensive approach around what he does well that wouldn't matter one bit.

That's just ridiculous. You've seen the elite QBs in the league. Does Mariota look anything like Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, Brees, etc. to you? In any formation?

Go to the Titans Report forum, they've apparently discredited much of what was posted in this article. You really aren't doing yourself any favors if you are using Cian Fahey to support your argument .

Yes. In shotgun, RPOs and when we go up tempo. Ironically we have been near the bottom of the league in these type of formations.

I gave that article an honest chance, but it was awful. Basically clips of every mistake the players around him made and only clips of his good plays to try and make it seem like he's always awesome and everyone else is always screwing up. No offense, but you really don't know much about the position or football in general if you got anything out of that, or you don't watch the games. The guy he's describing ain't Mariota

Every qb has bad moments. It depends on how often those moments occur and if its worth being concerned about them. In his opinion Mariota doesn't make enough mistakes for that to be a problem worth mentioning. I tend to agree with that. Maybe you should be a little more concerned with the amount of plays he showed with the OL breaking down or the Wrs dropping passes.
