There are omnidirectional and directional antennas... if the towers you want to receive from are in different directions, obviously you'll want omni.

When I do it, I'm fortunate that all the towers from Cincinnati are all due south from me, so I can get a directional - which are typically more powerful.

But, it all depends on where the towers are in relation to you.

pretty much....remember TV signals are line of sight...moutains, hills, tall buildings will have a detrimental effect on your reception.

Yep. They try to place their towers on a high elevation... problem is, everything around Nashville is pretty low elevation.

    So... good luck.

I use sling TV, just have to have internet. Pay like 25 bucks, get the local fox station, nfl network, amc, history, and some other main channels.

I researched the fool out of this and found a great site which tells you whether you are able to pick up signals to your location and what equipment was needed. For me, it was a big antenna in the attic and I still wouldn't get a couple of channels (but we're in Franklin).

I kept xfinity internet. You can get a 6 month deal for $49.99 per month. My son has ATT fiber and it's even faster/cheaper, I think. If it's available on your street, it's a great way to get a better rate from xfinity.

I have a Vizio and a couple of TVs with Roku. I have Netflix, YouTube TV, Hulu and HBO Now. Honestly, we're thinking of dropping Hulu and HBO Now.

We tried the Hulu Live service and the quality wasn't nearly as good as YTTV. The nice thing is you can try them all for free and see what you think. YTTV gives you all the local channels and all the ESPN and SEC channels. No NFL or Redzone though. There are quite a few options out there but we had to have the locals.

YTTV is right at $44 bucks but you can have it on three different devices at once and can share the account with up to five people. It's been very reliable for us and, with all this stuff, we're still $75 or more less than we were with cable.

You can get HULU free with Spotify, don’t know if you saw my earlier post.

    I’m dropping HBO pretty soon.
