    Yeah...All signs pointing towards tight end early and Hockenson would be a great one. Delanie doesnt have much time left in his career, and Johnnu has never proved to be a capable starter. On top of these factors, both are coming off of serious injuries and neither will be ready to go by the start of the season. We also let Luke stocker go in free agency. I'd be willing to bet we go tight end on the first 2 days of the draft.

    Unfortunately I dont think we have a shot at hockenson. I dont see any way he makes it past the packers at 12 or dolphins at 13. If he does, he could fall bc the teams from 14-18 are set at TE. But if we want to jump to 11 ahead of the packers and dolphins, the trade chart says we would have to give up 1.19 and 2.19 for 1.11 and 6.10. That's too rich.

    He will go somewhere between 7-13, and if he doesnt, we should consider it hitting the jackpot.

    No to a tight end. We took scrub tight ends and did ok with them. Day 1 and 2 will be edge, idl, or iol. Wilkins would be my first pick.

    I definitely wouldn't suggest moving up for him....

    I just hope that 1 of 2 things happens.

    We get to choose from Hockenson, Sweat, or Burns at 19.

    Or if they're gone..

    We trade back about 5-10 picks, get an extra pick for day 2, and choose from Fant, Lawrence, Lindstrom, Bradbury, or Simmons.

    The answer here is clearly Sweat and I don't think it's particularly close. But I don't think he makes it out of the top 10.

    I'm a Miss. State fan, so I've probably watched him more than most on here but he was dominant off the edge and teams didn't have an answer for him. I like him better than Josh Allen. With Sweat, Abram and Simmons that defense scary good. Most people don't realize it was ranked better than Bama's defense last year.

    Anyway, Sweat could have a Kearse like impact on this team and take us from good to great - and I don't think that's my maroon colored glasses coming through either. Just watch the tape on him. He can beat you with power, speed (4.41 40 time!) and pass rush moves. He's the complete package and if he makes it out of the top 10, JRob should be seeing what the cost would be to move up.

    I want Ed Oliver. I expect we'll end up with Wilkins who is a nice consolation prize. If both are off the board and Sweat is also gone, I would prefer to trade out of the position and pick up an extra 3rd. Burns and Ferrell are a little too risky for me at 19 and Lawrence may be nothing more than a NT (and you don't spend a 1st on a NT). I also have no desire of taking any offensive player in this draft at No. 19, other than may be Hockensen. Even then, rookie tight ends historically haven't done that well. Evan Engram is probably the best rookie tight end in recent memory to give you a good idea of the max you should expect in year one.

    I agree 100 percent that he's the best prospect on the list. Hockenson isn't far behind at all though. I made my decision based off the fact that there will be some really good edge guys on day 2 for us. You can't say that about tight end.

    I also think out of everyone on this list, Sweat is the least likely to fall to 19. He has that heart issue though so who knows how that could affect things.

    I've wondered if they've considered moving out of the first entirely. Trade 19 to a team for next year's first and a second or third this year. Preferably a team that will suck.

    We may need two firsts next year if it's time to replace Mary, which I think is more likely than not.
