    how it survived from 1914-1950 is just unreal.

    i think it goes to show just how well respected history is/was to many leaders throughout the years. shame to see it go just based on an accident.

    I think it is even more amazing it survived the 1789 revolution as it was close to ground zero.

    Point made though, to see it fall because of an accident (likely case) is a shame.

    I think only the wood framing was lost. So the majority of it is fine.
