Because he was an all-pro his first year in Mularkey’s multiple tight end system. Where he had a TE help chip the edge rusher inside.

Conklin is dog**** trying to pass protect outside/speed moves.

 

I think there is a decent chance of this though I think they will get start with Conklin at RT and see if he looks like he did last year. I thought Kelly really played pretty well at RT and Conklin could be an even better G so....

...we'll see.

 

Sure...our 'all-pro' played like a bad starter last year. Assuming this was him coming back from injury too soon or it being a nagging problem, he didn't play well. But the Titans are likely to give him another shot at OTA's and see how he looks...does he look like the guy that was all pro in year 1 or the guy who looked overwhelmed last year? If he keeps looking like he did last year, they'll likely try to move him to OG (and RG has an opening).

Kelly played well at RT last year and is really too tall to play OG as he is 6'8". DT's will get under his pads and give him problems. You really don't want guys playing OG past 6'5".

 

I can't because as soon as Kline was cut, he disappeared from PFF until he signs somewhere else.

If you watch close, it looks like Kline may have actually tripped Conklin as well.

So in 1 play, Kline caused:

1. Got beat by his man
2. Tackled his man into Lewan's legs, injuring him
3. Tripped Conklin, resulting in a sack on a 3 man rush.

That's a tough trick to pull off in 3 seconds.

 

That clown out and saffold in should be a huge upgrade. Hoping Henry can continue his beasting behind Lewan and saffold. Should help Jones too.
