Timmy Jernigan is one of the only players left in FA that I'm very interested in.

Would be a great fit on the DL opposite Casey, and he played well for Pees in his time in Baltimore

I think there's little doubt that if Christian Wilkins is there at 19 he's our guy. Personally, I think he'd be awesome at 19, but I'm a little concerned we make a Conklin/Evans move to slide up the draft to get him. I love Jrob going after his guys, but after a 3 pick draft last year, I hope we keep all six of our picks this year for depth.

We need some impact players and Suh would be the guy. He's an excellent nose and great at beating double teams when playing DT in the Nickel. In short, he solves two problems in one...great run stuffer and effective pass rusher. We could also get him on a lucrative one year deal so we aren't committing to him long term and I think everyone would acknowledge he made impact in the playoffs and SB.

Considering who we need to beat in OUR division alone...we can't have too much pass rush!

And btw, finding a big body to play NT and stuff the run with no pass rush skills isn't too hard to find. But a guy like Suh...who can stifle a double team and or penetrate into the backfield 1v1, would be very useful to have. And that wouldn't change our draft plans as Suh would be a one year guy and we can work in a rook.

Of course, it also allows us to go in several different directions in the draft.

I’m of the opposite opinion on trading up overall, where our roster is now you go get your guy imo. I do agree we shouldn’t trade up for Wilkins, I highly doubt he’ll go before 19 and there are equivalent options that will be if he does. If we trade up it needs to be a major trade up for Williams, Allen or Sweat imo.

I like the idea of getting Wilkerson at 19. If we're underestimating Cameron Wake and hit with him and Landry, we could have a nasty front.

He means if Cameron wake continues to produce, and wilkins came In and contributed immediately, next to Casey, and Landry does what he thinks he can do... And the MLB's...

With out secondary, if everything develops and gels nicely, we could have a REALLY badass defense.

If marcus and the offense can just run the ball, control the clock, and put up a moderate amount of points, could be a good year.

I'm guardedly opptimistic about this season.

I think Wake will surprise some. Hes basically another Julius Peppers, perfect specimen of a OLB/DE.

It wasnt til Peppers hit 39 that he fell off and lost a step. And really even at 39 the guys still puts out great tape. He just wasnt able to remain the Peppers we all knew him to be so he got out before he started looking bad.

If you pull up 2018 Wake tape, there is some serious stuff on there to be impressed with. There doesnt seem to be many signs pointing to Wake being 2018 Rak.

I guess the "and hit with him" is throwing me. I'm taking his statement as he doesn't think much of the signing.
I think the dude is a beast and will help the D take the next step to becoming a monster.
Not to mention the mentoring of our young guys and aiding in their next step.

I would be more surprised if Wake wasn't good. He was one of the most productive rushers per snap last year, as he has been every year. So you would think that once he does begin to fall off, he'll still be above average and better than what we had last year. You'd think that with him primarily coming off the edge on passing downs and not getting tangled up with OL in running downs, he shouldn't geta ton of wear.
