    Some guys can manage it, though it is rare. Look at Bruce and Clay (the second, father of the guy in Green Bay) Matthews. Both played at a high level until they were 40. Bruce was still making Pro Bowls. Darrel Green played at a high level until 40 too. I think he was the fastest player in the league in his late 30s.

    Usually I am not a fan of the old guys but some are an exception. I think Wake is one of those exceptions.

    Just looked this up: At 38 years old Dwight Freeny got 3 sacks while playing only 101 snaps. James Harrison also had 3 while playing only 67!

    Orkapo, Morgan, and Landry played 500+. Correra had 321. Finch had 206.
    Obliviously there are other factors, but that is efficient. Even at 38.

    It might not be sexy, but this is a solid, savvy, pick up. I won't be surprised if he's voted captain.

    Side note... Vince Carter is still in the NBA!
