Za'Darius Smith - OLB - Free Agent (maybe)

He was the sack leader on the #1 defense and they are likely letting Suggs go. It'd 100% be him and Judon.

 

ZaDarus Smith is the guy I think well and up targeting. I think he could be looking for a contract similar to Danielle Hunter's 5 year, 72 million dollar contract though.

If we don't get Smith I'd say our second most likely option is Trey Flowers because Patriots. He's a 7ish sack a year guy and would look good across from Landry. I think there's going to be a lot of teams in on him though since he has strong ties to coaching staffs and FOs in Miami, Detroit, New England, and Tennessee.

Pats are trading for Michael Bennett which probably means they are not going to try to resign Trey Flowers. I wouldn't mind seeing Flowers on the opposite side of Casey.

I'm sorry but I really don't want Z. Smith. The man only had 8.5 sacks last season and 3 came against Mariota. Take that away and he had 5.5 sacks last season. He also hasn't been a full-time starter and if he is going to want a contract for anything over $8-10 mil a year I'd much rather get Houston from KC or even trade for Dee Ford. There are plenty of pass rushers hitting the FA market and the draft is coming up. I'm tired of having players that can almost get to the QB a.k.a Derrick Morgan but can't quite get there only to let the QB complete the pass downfield for a first but get credit as a QB pressure in the stat sheet.
