Defense! Defense! Defense! That said, if we go wideout, why not?! Dude is big and fast...We all know Mariota needs a big target...My only question is, does he have water between his ears like DGB?

 

No chance he makes it to 19 after today, he put himself in that Calvin Johnson/Julio Jones class of size speed combination. He'll go top 10, may even go as high as 3 to jets.

 

Unreal he ran a 4.33. Size and speed are off the charts, i also think he's gone by 19, would have to trade up if Jrob wants him.

 

I know this isn’t what you were saying, but any team that drafts Metcalf and expects that kind of production is going to be disappointed. This dude was an above average WR at Ole Miss.

Julio and Megatron put up elite numbers with straight up bad QB play.

Megatron was better every season in a triple option offense and Reggie Ball throwing to him.

Julio’s junior year is comparable to Metcalf’s career production.

 

Metcalf is probably a rich teams #2 WR, which to me would be a reach for us with our other holes.

 

He caught 28 balls in his career in SEC games.

AJ Brown caught 160 balls in the last 2 years, he caught 65.

 

I'm shocked by his 40 time. I would have thought he was high 4.5's by the way he moves on tape.

The worry is he's a workout warrior ala Chris Henry. If he's so big and fast and strong why didn't he put up better numbers? (not that his numbers are bad, but someone with those measurables who teams in the top 10 might consider taking, you'd think would have gaudy numbers and he doesn't).

 

4.5 is his game speed.
