No. You start off with sticks and stones, move through "ages", and end up with nukes and stealth planes.

    Rise of Nations - Wikipedia

One of my favorite RTS games of all time. Each nation has unique bonuses. Theres gold, lumber, knowledge, and "taxes" to farm.

Some nations have unique troops too

The AI can be brutal on the more difficult levels

Yep. You will feel right at home playing it but it does have a little more depth than most like it

I'm kind of getting over Apex now that it's been out awhile. The gun metas are going full steam, wingman etc. People have learn to exploit the game from duping items like Phoenix kits and you can climb anywhere on anything with Pathfinder the robot, places that are not accessible.

Plus if you don't have people to play with and you go with random it's 8/10 times kids or newbies so they get wreaked and quit so it's you in constant 1 v 3 situations. It's not impossible to win by yourself I got a solo win 12 kills after my squad died in a gun fight with 8 other people.

Plus there's the skill gap that is non-existent anymore, Apex is not a hard game but there is still a period of learning the game but right now any casual play might have a rough time in the beginning especially if you play by yourself with randoms.

I still play but not as much as I did, I'm almost a lvl 50 Xbox.

i didnt know it was even possible to dupe items

im not sure climbing things with pathfinder is really that much of an advantage lol

but its true matchmaking is lame when you dont have friends to play with. i dont really like solos so it doesnt bother me but i can see how those that prefer solos dont like it.

their season pass starts next week and it's assumed that they will add more game types at that time too. we will see

i'm level 33 on xb and 23 on pc (ish)

Ya Pathfinder is trash it's a good indicator it's a kid lol. But the climbing is only an issue because we know what we can can't climb so your not expecting to be shot from certain areas of the map. Ya it got patched I believe all you had to do start using the kit and while you do that go to the store and when u get back to the game ur character used the kit but one is back in your inventory. I forgot to mention the ability to stay flying the entire game or as long as u want lol.
