On a 3-man line 275 is on the light end of things

It is, though not insurmountable. Plus he can get bigger and is very strong.

Also, remember we spend most of the time with 1 or 2 linemen.

In some situations he could take the place of an OLB too, and still keep his hand's on the ground.

This next month will tell us like 90% of who we will draft first round.....

We didn't dare go after an ILB last year in FA...

So if we don't dare go after a DT, the proof will be in the pudding...

Find a DE (outside a conversion to OLB) very unlikely given Jones huge money we just gave him

I could see us going with Christian Wilkins from Clemson. High character, disruptive interior pass rusher, high ceiling, should be available at #19 (or close enough to trade up for).

Is a guy like Dexter Lawrence worth a good look?

He had a killer freshman season and regressed from there. Which is a bad sign if you are on a line with Christian Wilkinson and Clellin Ferrell.

I think he is worth a look though concerns are significant.

Lawrence would be top 10, if not top 5 pick if it weren't for his off the field issues. He tested positive for PEDs and got suspended for the last few games including the playoffs.

However, if you watch his tape his is a monster. He consistently moves offensive linemen backwards and collapses the pocket - something we need very much, especially if we hope to ever beat the Colts. If you ask me, he's worth the risk at #19. I'd love to see him in Andrew Luck's face all game long. I doubt J-Rob agrees. My biggest complaint against J-Rob is he values "high character" too much. He seems to only want choir boys, who have never told a lie or had an alcoholic drink. But sometimes you just need some dogs on your team, who would rather stomp on your face than even talk to you.

I think we'll have a shot at Lawrence in the 2nd. And I think we'll pass.

Yeah I agree man. We haven’t had inside push since Haynesworth. We need that badly. I’d gamble with him. He is friggin huge and definitely minimally will collapse the pocket and run...
