No. I don't. And that's why we need a new quarterback.

I'm not interested in building a team to be mediocre around a QB who cant play a modern game. We never win a super bowl that way, and neither will Dallas.

Dallas is about done. They have cooper, Zeke, and dak to pay. If they do it, they're toast.

Mariota’s best season (2016) came when he averaged 30 attempts per game.

If he can’t play a “modern” game please explain that.

    He averaged 23.5 this year.

Thank goodness we get rid of LeFleur, an external hire. Titans never hire externally! This organization sucks!

Hey, ive been beating the drum since Mary got here to install a pats like offense. Spread the field. Four and five wide. Get the ball out quick. But we never do.

And now we have a back, Henry, that isn't really suited to that style.

It's also highly debatebale whether Mariota can make the reads and get rid of it fast enough. That has not been his strong suit.

I dunno. We gotta try something different. Out pass offense has been crap for years now.

Priority 1 and 1.5 on offense is OC and fix interior O line. Given time to read and pass, Mary is good. Henry was good last 5 games and I hope it continue, he even admits he sucked first half of the season and I'm not sure if that him or LaFluer. Regardless, please fix that o line!

he can clearly get rid of it fast enough, or else he would of been sacked 80 times. Our offense has been congested it's hard to say what anyone could do in a spread offense. Derrick Henry had like 85% of his yards after contact which means he's not necessarily someone who needs to run in the I formation or a power set. The problem this year was the inconsistency in blocking/ bad route running/ and marcus eyeing down receivers which didn't give us many chances to throw the ball down the field to keep the defense honest. but when he did have a few opportunities we often saw Marcus throw a beautiful ball to Jennings, Taywan & CD.

That’s all he did in college was quick reads and get the ball out!

Truthfully you need to get the OL figured out and get a good new OC. Let the MM8 chips fall where they may and really make the big decisions next year with a good system in place and the line to actually let it happen.

If we go with any of the internal candidates, it’s just to ride the Mariota term of service out. I don’t believe any of the internal guys mentioned are qualified and will be successful as an OC.

That college system doesn't translate to the NFL at all. That is why he was getting knocked for that during the pre-draft process. In fact, if you look at his draft profile, the weaknesses listed are things that he's still struggling with, which needed improvement in order to be a successful NFL QB.

"Benefits from an offense that is predicated on simplified reads. Offense able to create wide-open receivers after busted coverages at times. Needs to improve resetting feet when maneuvering pocket to improve accuracy and power. Tends to "see" pass rush too often. Will drop eyes and look to escape pocket rather than stepping to available pocket space. Frequent trips outside pocket increase opportunity for injury. Pocket feel is very average. Stepped into sacks he had no business taking. Didn't have to throw to tight windows often. Average processor on field. Still learning when to get rid of the ball and move to next play. Slow to make anticipatory throws and can improve patience in allowing combo routes to mature rather than rushing the read. Missed obvious pre-snap blitzes. Drive accuracy needs work. When cutting it loose, ball tends to sail on him a bit. Arm strength is adequate but inconsistent to field side. Needs to bring hips through throws to increase zip into tight windows in NFL. Fumbled 27 times during his career."

It feels like he hasn't improved on any of the bolded weaknesses. People blame his O line, receivers, coaching, etc. But if you read between the lines above, it's basically saying that he needs great protection and a lot of separation from his receivers, and that he can't make every throw required of an NFL QB. Those are major exploitable weaknesses, and it's why he's struggled so much recently.
