    Monken was in play for the Jets. Now that they got Gase, he has a chance of going to the Bengals. If the Bengals go a different direction, I bet Monken would take our OC job if offered.

    I was thinking he would be our best option, but if he's being considered for HC jobs now, we'll probably be in same position next year looking for his replacement.

    So get someone that no one else wants then? I get the point and I want continuity too, but what's the answer then? You want someone who will be a winner, and if our HC is a defensive guy and our offense is good, we always risk him getting a job somewhere else. Someone like Kubiak would be an answer bc he likely doesnt want a head job at this stage. Anyone else like that out there?

    I was just pointing out Monken may be 1 and done. But if our offense excels for that 1 year, then I'm good with it. Not sure Jrob and Vrabel feel that way, so my guess is its an in house hire for continuity, prob Arthur Smith.
