Terrell Suggs will play in 2019, hopes to stay with Ravens

Set to be a FA, 36 years old but turned in a worthwhile season for the Ravens this year.

Obviously we have his DC in Dean Pees so if they don't re-sign him in Baltimore there is a good chance we would be the frontrunner for his services.

With Orakpo retiring and Morgan being terrible (and hopefully gone), we need a starter and some depth, and he could potentially play real time for us and know the scheme inside and out already.

    Should we go after him?

We'd still be wise to draft OLB, those guys fall off fast at his age. Just look at Rak, was pretty damn good in 2017, 2018 comes in and he's a part-time player. Retires the first day of 2019.

Hes had remarkable career, would be a shame if he didnt finish as a Raven.

    Also, F those guys.

we'd obviously still have to look at a guy in the draft in this scenario. this is more depth and teaching the young guys. seems like landry could learn a lot from a Terrell Suggs

You think Suggs would take on a back-up role?

Hes old as dirt but still capable. My question is how close is he to E on the gas gauge.

I don't think he was a starter last year, pretty sure he was rotational. I could be wrong, but yeah he's old and knows his place. As long as we gave him SOME playing time which we would have to due to depth issues at OLB.

If we did add him it needs to be 1-year deal type of thing, guy turns 37 next season

what 37 year olds out there playing defense on a high level?

Old but would of still tied for 1st in sacks for this D. Can't hurt to add a veteran situational pass rusher. Especially if we don't resign Morgan... At the bare minimum he adds experience and can play the Mr. Miyagi to our young core.

So sure. Bring him in for a reasonable contract.
