Sounds like some real back and forth on whether he really was cleared to play and if we’re talking about a spine injury, not arm, I could really see this being way more serious than anyone though.

If the spine thing is true. Have to move on and he should retire Locker style.

Bridgewater and Kapernick were available. I know a lot of people here don't want to hear that but Kapernick and Bridgewater have performed better than Gabbert during their time in the league,both are mobile QB's like Mariota as well. Gabbert looked shook every game under center for us. Hell even Jimmy G was available but it was for a boatload of money but at this point it's either bring in a quality back up or something that out plays him. The interior line is still a problem but so is a QB with a numb throwing arm. I hope whatever his issue is he can get it fixed though.

 

Yeah but we could possibly draft a QB in the second round if we don't find one in free agency.

 

Here's the Plan. Bring In Bridgewater for $10 Mil to compete with Mariota for the starting job. The winner gets it, the loser is the backup. If Mariota loses and is the back up and decides to test FA after next year, Call Kaep and draft a QB to groom. QB issues solved.
