0/2 on my predictions but what a great night of fights. Glad to finally see Valentina with some gold. I knew she was gonna be much physically stronger than Joanna but I expected a closer fight in the striking department. I mean, Joanna held her own but it seemed like Valentina was just a step ahead for most of the fight.

Max/Ortega was fight of the year contender. I liked Ortega before this but now he's a favorite. Crazy heart and unreal chin. I know that was basically a boxing clinic but I do believe Ortega can beat Max. Hope he gets another shot at him soon.

Oh, and NEPHEW GUNNAR win the big win!

Awesome. I’d like to see Cain finally comeback. I don’t see this being even remotely competitive though.

Jon Jones will forever Jon Jones.

Really hard to keep supporting the UFC these days.

Yeah it is. Between this type of nonsense, the constant injuries/missed weights screwing up hyped cards, rankings meaning nothing, etc., it's tough to wanna support them. But they've just got so much of the top talent if you're a serious MMA fan you're basically stuck with them.

Bellator is slowly poaching some good fighters from them, but they don't have the resources to compete. I don't really understand why they keep Dana around. I guess the backers would rather have one or two superfights a year that do gangbusters instead of steady buys, but he really is a POS.

From what’s I read jones positive test was clearly just residuals from his last fail, hence why they are ok with just moving cities. If he tested for more and it was recent I’m sure they woulda suspended him like they have multiple times

Gus wore a no doping shirt at weigh ins. Lol. He might be my favorite LHW.

He tested higher on this test than when the residual was supposedly from.

Yep. And even if it was just "residuals" it is still in his system. Bottom line. And banned substances being in your system is and always has been considered a violation. Plenty of less popular fighters have been given lengthy suspensions for less.

I still don't get why the UFC is going to such lengths to protect this guy. I mean, he's a big name within the sport but it's not like he's a Mcgregor level draw to the general public or anything.
